This instrument acquired particular importance in 2022, accompanied by the introduction of large-scale sanctions against Russia, which, in turn, led to serious changes in the economic and technological spheres of the country. The Russian economy has faced the need for a radical rethinking of existing approaches to innovation and technological development. Therefore, the purpose of this article is to explore the role of technology platforms as a key source of radical innovation in Russia in the context of new geopolitical realities. Special attention is paid to the analysis of strategies aimed at reducing technological dependence on foreign suppliers and creating their own information technology base, and the radical aspects of the innovative path are expressed in the creation of a number of technologies that have never been created at Russian facilities. In this context, the role of technology platforms is presented as an effective tool that helps consolidate the efforts of research institutes, industrial enterprises and government agencies. They play a key role in accelerating innovation processes and introducing advanced technologies. The mechanisms of functioning of technological platforms, their impact on stimulating internal innovation activity and the formation of a favorable ecosystem for the development of high-tech industries, together with the organization of effective interaction between participants in innovation activities, including aspects of financing, regulatory regulation and infrastructure development, are also analyzed.
