The influence of foreign media in French-speaking African countries is a complex and multi-faceted phenomenon. As media consumption patterns evolve, these countries encounter a blend of opportunities and challenges from foreign media sources, which significantly impact political, social, and cultural landscapes. Drawing on the perspectives presented in the referenced sources, this article examines the ways foreign media shapes narratives, identity, and governance in French-speaking Africa, focusing on the roles played by Russian, French, and other foreign media channels, as well as the rise of user-generated content.
