Approximating blocking probabilities for multiservice network link with unicast and multicast connections

In this paper we consider a multiservice network link accepting both multicast and unicast connections. We model the link as a multi-stream loss system and study an approximate method for computing blocking probabilities for traffic streams. A case study is represented to show the accuracy of the approximation. © 2009 IEEE.
