Having adopted the resistance economy policy, Iran is compelled to engage in entrepreneurialism and innovation in emerging economic sectors. Preparing economic institutions and the interaction and cooperation between the government and the people are essential for implementing a resilient economy. Entrepreneurship universities have the potential to serve as primary training hubs for specialized and trained personnel who are constantly inundated with novel ideas and thoughts. These individuals are the vital arteries of a society that is experiencing a growing movement that injects novel power. By applying the emerging ideas of academics, society can progress and actualize its aspirations. Universities are the optimal setting for examining and formulating theories because university strategies usually proceed from decision-making organizations to executive institutions. The investigation was derived from an extensive evaluation of the scientific literature and extant texts concerning entrepreneurial universities and resistance economies. This research examined the standing and attributes of entrepreneurial universities within the country, as well as their influence and function in promoting the resistance economy, mitigating the effects of sanctions, and enhancing Iran’s competitive advantage. © 2025 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
