EVALUATION OF DESIGN SOLUTIONS FOR RECLAMATION: THE CASE STUDY OF "ELEKTROSTAL" AND "ALEKSINSKY QUARRY" MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE LANDFILLS

The paper presents the results of the evaluation of engineering solutions for solid waste landfills reclamation in Moscow and the Moscow region (“Elektrostal” and “Aleksinsky Quarry”). It also proposes to include the use of insulating geomembrane and protective geotextile in the design solutions of landfill reclamation and recommends the use of bioremediation technologies.
