The article examines the artistic embodiment of the concept of household in the literature of 1920-1930-ies in the context of real historical circumstances and philosophical explorations of the 20th century. The artistic themes characteristic of that period are as follows: denial of the household, idealization and ideologization of "householdness" due to historical realities and ascetic revolutionary ideology. Particular attention is given to the antitheses of "household" and existence and related metaphors and images such as "satiety", "material and spiritual property", "family", "house", etc.
